Graduate of the Jazz and Popular Music Department of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, also an instructor of bass and electric bass in that department since 1999.
He began his artistic activity in 1993, performing with Eryk Kulm’s group “Quintessance”. Since that time he has performed on a regular basis, both in Poland and abroad, working with the leading Polish jazz musicians, such as: Janusz Muniak, Jan Ptaszyn Wróblewski, Tomasz Szukalski, Tomasz Stańko, Leszek Możdżer, Piotr Wojtasik, Adam Pierończyk, and Jarosław Śmietana.
The groups he has appeared in include the Lesław Możdżer Sextet, Adam Pierończyk Trio, Piotr Wojtasik Quartet, Piotr Wojtasik Quintet, Jarosław Śmietana Band, Tomasz Szukalski Twist Band, Janusz Muniak Quartet, and many others.
In 2006-2013 he worked on a regular basis with Nigel Kennedy, playing numerous concerts with the Nigel Kennedy Quartet and Nigel Kennedy Quintet throughout all of Europe, and also in Japan, China, South Korea, Australia, and Israel (in the finest concert halls, such as the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Berlin Philharmonic Hall, and the Sydney Opera House). The result of his working with Nigel Kennedy is several albums recorded together.
His artistic achievements also include working alongside international stars such as Bennie Maupin, Eddie Henderson, Gary Bartz, John Abercrombie, Jeff Beck, John Purcell, and Kevin Mahogany, among others.
