He comes from a family with musical traditions and begins classical music education in 1986 in the percussion class. Since 1991, he is performing and recording with many prominent figures of the music scene around the world. The list of his colleagues appears the names of such prestigious artist as : Kenny Werner, David Murray, Erik Friedlander, William Parker, Stanley Jordan, Rob Brown, Christopher Dell, Rolf Kühn, Rudi Mahall, Theo Jörgensmann, Tomasz Stańko, Antoni Gralak, Andrzej Przybielski, Jorgos Skolias, Adam Pierończyk, Sameer Makhoul, Heo Yoon-Jeong i wielu innych.
In the past 20 years he has recorded over thirty albums, which five received the status of the album of the year. The album Shadows recorded with American pianist Kenny Werner has been named the best jazz album of 2006 in the world according to Polish Radio. Album Sefardix received prestigious Polish Radio Award – Folk Fonogram of the Year 2013
