Grzegorz Pałka – professional jazz drummer, born in Krakow in 1994. Laureate of many international competitions for drummers and jazz ensambles. In the years 2016 and 2018 he was awarded a scholarschip of the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage. He has studied with such masters as Brian Blade, Eric Harland, Dennis Mackrel, Kendrick Scott, Ari Hoenig, Colin Stranahan.
He has performed and toured with a wide range of musicians, including a numer of renowned artists, such as: Janusz Muniak, Andy Middleton, Dominik Wania, Piotr Wyleżoł, Piotr Baron, Mark Alban Lotz, Rafał Sarnecki, Jerzy Małek, Szymon Mika, Grzegorz Karnas, Piotr Orzechowski „Pianohooligan”, Wojciech Groborz, Mateusz Gawęda, Kajetan Galas, Mateusz Pałka.
His debut album Overnight Tales (2016), recorded and released with Mateusz Gawęda Trio has been nominated to the Fryderyki award – category: Best Debut Jazz Album of the Year.
Besides playing in jazz clubs and major concert venues throughout Poland, he has performer – to date – in North America, Asia and Europe.
